After the training, she was ranked Shieldmaiden in no time and had killed the men who had raped her after asking permission from Bjorn if she could seek her revenge. It felt good to fight, it made her feel alive, so she joined Ragnar's sons at war against the Saxon's. She needed an outlet to escape her past. The rapes at a young age had left her feeling wary of men. She didn't trust them. Maybe someone can change that for her eventually.
