   • History: Birger Olafsson was a skilled healer and warrior, his wife Ingrid Egilsdóttir was a cloth maker. They were living the life of a happy family with their daughter, Hedvig. Occasionally Birger went on raids and came back with treasures and amazing stories. After losing Ingrid while she was giving birth to her son, Vidar, Hedvig stayed alone with her father and brother, when she was only 9 years old. Birger changed a lot after his loss, but he tried his best to bring up his children as good and trustful people. After losing Vidar to an illness, when he was just two years old, only just Birger and Hedvig were left. Hedvig loved his father, who teached her everything about fighting and healing. She learned that from her father to be loyal and truthful. She grew up on stories about fearful warriors, dangerous raids and amazing foreign lands all of them told by her father, so that became her biggest dream to join these raids beside her father. Once Birger went on a raid to England, but never came back, Hedvig was only 16 years old and she decided that she will be the fiercest warrior this land ever saw. Since that she became an experienced sword wielder and went on some raids.
