| It was early in the morning and the sun was out today, shining on the white snow that laid out outside. However for once Ari was not out in the cold. He was laying high in the hay of the barn. Looking down at the animals from the second floor. He had been here all night. It was warm in here and he always had loved the smell of it. He also liked sleeping in the hay. But he hadn’t come here just to sleep. No, he was laying in ambush for his big sister. Coming to her farm was really the best thing he had ever done. He was free here and even though she could be a bit annoying from time to time. He was really grateful that she would still allow him to stay with her. After all he did know he wasn’t the easiest and even though he helped sometimes… Like really sometimes! He was sure he could do more instead of going off and making trouble all the time. But trouble was so much fun. But now that he kind of had his own fishing business. And with that he meant only him fishing and trying to sell it or take it home. He at least had something to repay her from time to time.
And today he would show her the love he felt for her. In his own little way. So of course that meant he had once again set up a little prank for her. It had taken a lot of preparation and he did hope if he knew her well and she did exactly like he hoped she would. Then this would work perfectly. It was a perfect designed plan. Two buckets were hanging in wait for her to walk under two. The first one had a bit of oil and wax in it. He was sure she would not enjoy that part. But that was what made it all the more fun! The second one had grain in it. Grain she would normally feed the chickens with. And those little beasties were waiting in wait too. The grain would fall behind her and at that moment he would open the cage he had put the chickens in. These would run to her like a wild school of fish. Losing some feathers that would stick on her because of the oil. She would look a bit like a chicken herself if this worked out well. And as the sly fox he was. He had made sure to have the threads he had to cut right in front of him. As he was hidden in the hay on the second floor of the barn. It had taken him almost all night to build it. And now he was waiting. Waiting and playing with the knife he would use to cut the ropes. Letting it spin on his finger he got a slight bored look in his eyes. Waiting was boring.
He sighed slightly watching the knife spin. Having already a slight cut in his finger because of it. As he then heard the door of the barn open. He sat up fast and then turned. Not fully looking but watching the shadow. As he waited for it. Waiting for the moment she made that spot. The moment he did he cut the first rope, making the bucket with oil fall. Then the second and the third as he then sat up more wanting to see what would happen. He wanted to see his plan in action and the face of his sister as it happened. He was already excited for what would come. @Kari Asgersdóttir |

| Kari had for once in her life, a late start to the day. She had been up half the night with a sick cow that she didn't get to sleep at a pleasant time like she normally did. Her worry for the cow had been to strong, and she didn't leave its side unit the poor things fever broke. So when she did finally wake up for the day, she was running around like a man women. Trying to get everything she normally did during a lot longer time period done faster. Kari had even looked for her brother when she woke up, in the hopes of being able to get him to help her out for just a few hours. However he was no where to be found, so she knew she was going to have to do everything else all by herself again. It was rather frustrating sometimes, but she loved Ari so very much and she knew he had his own life, and his own dreams. So she couldn't make him do things around the farm. Besides he did help out every now and then. By bringing fish or doing some small things on the farm from time to time. Kari was still very glad she took him with her when she left. For he needed good influences in his life, and their father was not that, and would never be that. He was just to full of himself and his own needs to be there for anyone but himself and the women he slept with. After running around to some of the other animals, it was finally time for her to go into the barn to check on the animals inside there. So far she had handled the horse, pigs, and bunnies. Now she needed to feed and take care of the cows and chickens. Then maybe she would be able to sit down and have herself a small break before taking the horses out to run around for a bit before she would need to go home and cook dinner for herself and Ari. Walking into the barn Kari looked around for a moment before something cold and nasty was suddenly hitting her on top of her head, making her whole face light up in shock and fear. "AHHHHH" she said as she let out a little scream and looked up just as a second bucket fell from above the door and onto her head, knocking her onto her butt. Dumping most of the contents of itself down the front of her and on the ground. Reaching up to touch her head where the bucket came down and hit her, she was glad to see that there was no blood. Even if her head now hurt quite a bit, at least she was not bleeding. Instead she was just going to have a really big headache for the rest of the day. One she was sure she could thank her dear baby brother for, for this was his doing and she already knew it. Looking around she could see that the second bucket had dumped some of the feed she used for the chicken onto her. The first bucket had to be a mixture of something, what she wasn't sure. However whatever it was sticky and she was getting more and more frustrated by the second. It didn't help that seconds later she heard the little feet of chickens coming near her and with in moments she was attacked. "ARI!!!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs and she pushed the crazy animals away from her and push herself up from the ground. "Come here at once! I mean it Ari, com here right now!" she says to him next. For she knows her bother well, and she knows he has to be close by. For he would need to see just how well his prank worked out for him. Using one of her feet to push the chickens away from her gently she looked down at herself. She was covered in sticky feed and feathers, and dirt. She was sure she looked rather hilarious, and if she wasn't having such a long day in the first place, maybe she would be laughing right now. "You could have knocked me out with how hard that bucket hit me brother. Then who would have made you dinner? hmm? " she says to him next. Looking around the barn in the hopes of her eyes landing on him. She was going to get him back for this. Weather it was hugging him right now and making him just as gross as she was, or if she was going to dump something on him in his sleep, she was going to give him a little taste of his own ways. Kari really didn't care what it was at this moment, just that she was going to get him, and she was going to do her best to make it good. Seeing as pranking was not her thing in the first place, this might be rather hard task for her. Shaking her head and letting out a sigh of air she started to try and rub her hands clean, something that wasn't helping her at all. Her dress she was wearing was now something she could burn. For there was no way it was going to be coming clean from this too. |

| he watched the buckets fall and in that moment it seemed to go in slow motion as he moved up just a bit to get a better view of what would be happening. He could feel his heart beat in his chest. Steady as a beating drum as his hands formed fists. Praying to the gods that the buckets would not miss their target and then as a sweet song he could hear his sister scream just before the bucket of oil fell over her. Making her hair, face, clothes, sticky and dark brown to black. He held in the chuckle that wanted to come out. But a big grin was already on his face as he could see his plan would be a success. At least step one had already been reached. Now for step too. He snickered lightly as the other bucket hit her as well, knocking her to the ground as she fell on her butt. Oh the face she had on at the moment was just priceless he loved it so much. Made step two already a success and it was worth the wait. Oh he loved it. Just the sticky oil and the grain. Made already a very nice combination. Oh but the best was still to come. He bit his lip, preventing the grin on his lips from growing too fast. And there was his army of chickens. As always he knew he could count on those little soldiers to do the work for him as they fast ‘attacked’ his sister and were trying to get the grain on her and around her. Fighting each other and making some of their feathers fly up and stick to his sister as well. Oh sweet victory. That was what he felt looking at the scene and oh he loved every second of it.
He took a breath as he felt relieved, proud and happy at the victory he made and to make it even better his sister directly screamed his name on the top of her lungs as she stood up. "Come here at once! I mean it Ari, com here right now!" She screamed. Well something wasn’t happy. But he didn’t know why the reaction she had made it all the better. But he stayed hidden just a little bit longer. So she could get her frustration out a bit more. Before he would reveal himself. He was well aware that he would have a snappy, un happy sister, maybe even would get ‘punished’ for what he had done. But oh it was still worth it and well what was the worst she could do to him really? By now she should be used to these kind of things no? "You could have knocked me out with how hard that bucket hit me brother. Then who would have made you dinner? hmm? " Those words were the last drop for him and he could not keep his laughter in. He let himself fall back on his back in the hay as he laughed. His laugh filling the barn as some happy tears formed in his eyes. He snickered and stood up as he looked down at his sister. ”I hardly believe a bucket will be able to knock you down sis.” He crossed his arms and leaned against one of the beams that kept the roof up with his shoulder. ”Your head is too thick for that to happen.” He gave her a mischievious look as he then shrugged.
And if she had been knocked out then… Well he would have made sure the chickens didn’t eat her face and made sure to place her comfortable. Before he would probably leave her to wake up later on. ”I would have waited for you to wake up.” He could wait a little bit longer on a meal. He had time, had nowhere better to be. He snickered a bit more as he looked over her and then locked eyes with her. Giving her a smile. ”But I must say Kari, you look pretty good. You could start a new fashion trend looking like that~” At the end of his sentence he was already back to laughing. He loved his sister a lot, especially after she had walked into one of his pranks. As to him this was the moment he did love most. Things he would not forget and things they both would remember through time. At least this way he would not be forgotten. And of course it helped that he knew she would forgive him. |

| To simply say Kari was frustrated with her bother at this moment was putting it lightly. Her head was hurting and she was covered in some kind of horrible stick dirty mess. She knew he was here, and it was only a matter of time before he showed his silly little face. However she heard him before she saw him. After she demanded to know who was going to cook his dinner if she had been knocked out by that second bucket she heard him laughing. It started out soft, and then the whole barn was filed with nothing more then his silly laughing and the sound of the chickens trying to get at the seed still stuck to her body. His laugher made her both relax and more frustrated at the same time. She was relaxing as she had been right, he was the one that had done this horrible trick to her. Frustrated because he had spent a lot of time working on this prank when he could have helped her around the farm a little bit more today when she had actually needed his help more today then she needed him other days. If he had put that energy to something positive maybe she wouldn't have been running around like an insane person this morning. Letting out a huff at his laugher she crossed her arms over her chest as she waited for him to show hit face to her. It wasn't a long wait at all at least. She heard him making movement from above her where the hay was kept. ”I hardly believe a bucket will be able to knock you down sis.” he says to her first and she looks at him with a raised eyebrow as he himself crossed his arms over his own chest and got all comfortable up there. He was smart to stay out of reach for now. For she was sure she would at least want to swat at the back of his head a bit. ”Your head is too thick for that to happen.” he says to her next and she shakes her head at him. "Your lucky" she says to him, shooting him an annoyed look. She was sure her whole face screamed how annoyed and frustrated with him she was. Kari wasn't mad surprisingly however, maybe because she was use to this kind of foolishness from him, or maybe it was because part of her could see that it was a little be funny. "Why don't you come down here, we can see if your head is thicker." she says to him next. In a sweet sounding voice but her meaning was nothing sweet at all. What he says to her next make her shake her head again. ”I would have waited for you to wake up.” he said, ands he was shaking her head because she knew it was turn. He would have waited to eat until she woke up. He wouldn't have cooked for them both because she was honestly unsure if her brother even knew how to cook, maybe thats how she would punish him this week. Make him learn to cook for the two of them, but that could end up being punishment to her as well. ”But I must say Kari, you look pretty good. You could start a new fashion trend looking like that~” she hears him say to her last before he starts to laugh a lot more. His laugher is making her feel less frustrated and his words make her laugh just a bit herself. "How about you come here, so I can make you match me? We can start the trend together!" she says to him before shaking her head and letting out a huff. "I may be laughing, but that doesn't mean you are getting away with this. Once I think of something that doesn't punish the both of us, you are getting it!" she tells him before looking down at herself again. "I really liked this dress too!" she says to him next before looking to the chickens and thinking for a moment. "At least get down here and help me clean this up!" she says to him last as he shoos a chicken away from her that was trying to fly at her and eat the feed stuck to her dress still. |

| He once again had outdone himself and for once more the satisfied grin he held did not want to move. Especially not when he saw the annoyed look in his sisters eyes. Oh he was sure that she was annoyed beyond reason, that she wanted to pay him back even punish him. But would she be able to? Hm they would see, he knew his sister had some skills and he knew that he would have to be very careful or he would walk into a trap himself. She had skills when it came to him after all, she knew him to well, whole his life and well sometimes it was hard to keep an eye on once owns doings. But when it came to pranks and stuff he after all was a master. So he would keep a very good eye on his sister and for now he was not stupid enough to come near her. Or she would hug him and he would be all under his own perfect creation. Something he rather avoid. He shot her a sweet smile as she shook her head. He indeed was lucky. He had been so lucky that once again she had fallen for it. Even though by now she should learn to expect something. But then again he was also a master so who would be able to expect such a thing. He snickered a bit when she told him to come down and see who’s head is thicker.
”I’m pretty sure it’s yours.” After all nothing could get through his sisters thick skull. She could be quite scare at times too and he knew she wouldn’t go down without a fight and even know she was still standing tall. He gave her a sweet wink. Before he sat down with his legs over the edge of the second floor as he watched her. Trying to read what she was thinking off. The grin however came back the moment she said that she would make him match her. He chuckles slightly and let his feet dangle slightly. Letting out a light ‘agh’ as if he was thinking about the offer before he looked up and shook his head. ”That won’t do, my sis deserves to be special.” He looked back at her seeing her laugh and smile. Agh so even though she looked terrible she at least was having some fun right? That was all he really wanted his sis to have, some fun. After all she worked so much and hard… he wasn’t sure if she even remembered what real fun was. She was always smiling and of course he was sure she enjoyed her life as a farmer, but real fun was on another level.
"I may be laughing, but that doesn't mean you are getting away with this. Once I think of something that doesn't punish the both of us, you are getting it!" His brow went up at her words, once she had thought of something that didn’t punish the both of them huh. He snickered again and then laid back down. He felt very satisfied. A day well started was a day well lived. Or at least it was that way in his book. "I really liked this dress too!" He took a breath and let out a light ‘ow Boo boo.’ Before he bit his lip holding in his laugh and sitting up straight. Before he looked at her. Come and help her. He shrugged. ”Don’t worry, the chickens will eat the grain and then all you have to do is sweep some water over the oil and down it will go.” He thought of it. Before he let out an ‘ow!’ ”And catch the chickens.” How much fun it would be to see her try that.
He took another breath and then stood up, disappearing once more into the hay and being quite, maybe even making it seem as if he had already once again slipped away. But the fact was he did not feel like fishing today, it was too cold for his liking. So he had already decided to help his pretty sis around the farm today. Well help… it depended on the mood he was in at the time he did it. He soon appeared down and looked at her. ”I will help.” Pointing at her. ”But if you dare to touch me, I’m out!” And then she would have to do all by herself. What would be quite sad no? He smirk smiled. ”Deal?” |

| It didn't go unnoticed to her that he was not coming down to her like she wanted him too. Her dear little brother was a lot smarter then she would like to give him credit for. As she would have smashed his little face into the mess he had made the second he could get her hands on him. However Kari was slowly calming down, and seeing the fun in his joke. He was lucky like she told him, lucky that she loved him so much and wanted to let him be a free spirt. That Kari wanted to let her little brother Ari get away with a lot more because they had a shitty childhood together. So maybe she let him misbehave a little more than she should have. However her brother was happy, healthy, and enjoying life. So who was she to change that now? Kari was sure she could handle his jokes, and as long as he wasn't playing them on other people like he was doing to her, or at least the wrong people. She would let him have his fun with her from time to time like this. That didn't mean he was going to get out of helping her clean it up though. It just meant she would take his jokes and smile more then get mad, or at least do her best. Rolling her eyes at him when she hears him say ”I’m pretty sure it’s yours.” to her. Kari just shakes her head. "We wont know for sure until we try." she says to him before pointing to the ground. Letting him know to get his ass down here now, but also so she doesn't have to keep repeating herself as she tells him to come here. That doesn't sound the most fun to her if she is honest. She told him to come down here so she can make him match, and his response made her roll her eyes again. ”That won’t do, my sis deserves to be special.”Ari told her. "And alone too apparently, I surely will never find a husband looking like this" she tells him before letting out a little huff at him. Kari was sure her brother understood she wanted to get married someday, even if she hadn't really talked to him about it yet. It had more been thoughts on her mind then anything she had put into action anyways. Plus she was sure her little brother Ari would think the idea of her getting married or even being with a man would be gross anyways. Still waiting for him to get his butt down here and help her, she kept complaining at him. Telling him she had liked this dress a lot, and that he was going to help her clean this up. His little whispered boo woo didn't go un missed by her, however she chose to ignore it. ”Don’t worry, the chickens will eat the grain and then all you have to do is sweep some water over the oil and down it will go.” Ari tells her and she nods. Good, he could come down here and help her do just that. Before she could tell him that she heard him say ”And catch the chickens.” to her, something she narrowed her eyes at him about. That was just what she wanted. To chase chickens around the farm looking like a crazy person, oh no. Her brother was going to be helping her with that task too. "Good thing I'll have your help doing that huh?" she tells him raising an eyebrow at him. Kari wasn't kidding around, and hopefully he knew that. Ari would be helping until everything was clean, then she didn't care what he did until it was time for him to come home for dinner. It got quiet and Kari almost worried he had left her, and if he had, oh would she have made sure to get him back. However her little brother appeared a few moments later in front of her. ”I will help.” she hears him say, and in her mind she is saying damn right, but she keeps it to herself. ”But if you dare to touch me, I’m out!” she hears him say and she shoots him a dirty look before nodding. She knows her brother well enough to know he wasn't joking. "Fine, deal. I'll just get you back another way" she tells him before she starts to get some water to wash the oils away as he said. "Did you already go fishing, or did you spend the whole morning on this little trick?" Kari asks him as she looks over at him and smiles. |

| He couldn’t help but snort at his sisters words when she said they wouldn’t know for sure until they tried. But he was pretty sure her head was thicker. After all she was in many a very scary woman… girl – ly thing. She could be scary at times he would leave it at that. He did believe she possessed a worriers spirit. Unlike him, he wasn’t especially strong and you could see that in his slim build. He was stronger than he looked of course… But if he had to choose then he probably would rather avoid a fight then start one. Or watch from afar knowing h was actually the one who started it but, mhe didn’t matter. And the dress he had ruined, seemed she was more fond of it then she let out. Her answer to his words made sure that he knew that. But it also made him snort. ”If a man doesn’t want you just because you look like that then… Well then he’s an idiot.” He shrugged not going to make any more words dirty on it. But well it was true, after all his sister Kari was a beautiful young woman. Even a blind man would say so. He sighed as she joked about him helping her. He was going to help she just had to be a little bit more patient. Also now that he took a good look at her he would make sure to get her dress prepared. Well maybe not that but he probably could get her the same dress brand new with the money he owned an a little bit of effort. If it had been so important to her. But of course his dear little sister didn’t have to know that at all. Maybe she didn’t even have to know that the new dress would come from him. Though Kari was smart enough to figure it out after a while. He would deny it. He smiled at the thought.
Getting finally down and giving his sister somewhat of an untrusting look he waited for her to make her move. He had agreed to help but if she dared to touch him he would be gone in less than a lightning strike. He parred the dirty look she gave him with a cocky smile. He waited for an answer patiently and the cocky smile got bigger at her words. "Fine, deal. I'll just get you back another way" He took a breath and watched her go and get some water as he looked at his creation. Agh he really didn’t want to clean up, but then… He did want to spend some time with his sister today as he didn’t see her as much as he used to. After all they both were very busy working and he next to that had mischief to take care of. He took a breath and walked up to some of the hay piles there were. Starting to root out some of the hay so they could get rid of the oil even quicker. He took piece of rope as he started to clew the hay together in a nice pile he would be able to wipe over with his foot as he then walked over to his sister and took the bucket with water from her. "Did you already go fishing, or did you spend the whole morning on this little trick?" He shrugged at her words.
He did indeed spend most of the morning on this little trick. ”A master piece takes time.” He answered causally. Before he threw the bucket with water over the oil and threw the swipe he had just made on the ground as well. Putting his foot on it and starting to rub. Before he looked back at her with a more bored expression as this was clearly not something he really liked doing. ”Besides it’s too cold for fishing.” He gave her a wink and it was clear what he meant with it. After all he didn’t feel like going to fish today, at least not yet. And now that he was here anyway he might just might help her around the farm for once. If he didn’t change his mind again. That could go quickly after all his mind changed as quickly as the winds up here. One moment it was blowing this way the other moment it was blowing the other way before you knew it. And with every wind another idea creeped in his mind and so you never really were sure what you could expect from him. Luckily his sister knew him well enough to expect the change of the wind. Or at least he believed she did. He slowly looked at his sister and the bucket in his hand before he threw it back at her. He would need more water, he bit his lip a bit and a light glance went over his eyes. More water for cleaning. [/b] |
