Stuck in the mud- Dómi Empty
PostSubject: Stuck in the mud- Dómi Stuck in the mud- Dómi EmptyMon Mar 05, 2018 2:30 am

The day had been going from good to bad very fast, and Kari was honestly not sure what she was going to do. When she first woke up this morning she was happy and enjoying her day. All the animals were well behaved and she was able to the horses out early in the to let them run around and enjoy themselves. While they did that, she had gone and gotten more fire wood into the house and just did other things around the farm to prep for the rest of winter, and the transition into spring. Kari knew she hadn't been away that long, however when she got back she was brought to a horrible sight. One of her horses, a younger one at that, looked to be stuck. Fear gripped her as she ran as fast as she could to get closer to the horse. Sure enough the closer she got, the more she could see. Her horse was in fact stuck, and it looked like the horse was also very scared itself. Which wasn't going to help the situation at all. "Shhhh, its okay." she tells the horse as she gets closer. The horse does the opposite, and jerks around in the mud. Trying to free itself from the thick mud it was stuck in. Kari automatically felt horrible for even leaving them alone. If she had stayed maybe this wouldn't have happened.

Looking around for a moment, she slowly reached forward and grabbed the reins that were attached to the stuck horse. "I need you to calm down boy, I wont leave you here I promise." she tells the horse next as she tries to pull him forward a bit. Seemingly upsetting the horse even more. Making it jerk around again, and yanking her forward as well. Kari was able to stand her ground, and keep from falling. Seeing as pulling the horse forward wasn't working, she decided to try and pull from the right. That turned out to be an even worse idea for her. Because as soon as she pulled on the rein, the horse yanked his head and pulled her forward again. This time she wasn't able to get her feel planted into the ground fast enough, and she was thrown into the mud herself. "That was very bad!" she tells the horse as she pushes herself off the ground and looks down to see she is covered in mud on her front and down her butt. "I am just trying to help you." she tells the horse next. Suddenly feeling weird that she was talking to the horse as if it could understand her at all.

Taking a deep breath Kari looked around for some kind of idea to help her move this giant scared animal without getting thrown down on the ground again. Kari was sure she would get hurt if it kept happening. So she guessed she needed to calm the horse down first. So it would help her help it out of the mud. So she slowly walked over to him and started to rub her hand down its back. Trying to be as soothing as she could to the horse. As soon as she thought she had calmed the horse down enough to try and move it again, Kari grabbed the reins a third time. Moving slowly, but firmly she pulled the horse forward once more, and she was almost sure she was making progress until he horse panicked and yanked her back again. Throwing her onto the ground a second time, and making her even more muddy then she had been before."OW" she shouted as she slowly pushed herself off the ground. Her right wrist was now sores and throbbing. That wasn't going to help her get the horse out of the mud at all. Times like these are the times she hates that her brother isn't around all the time, and the he doesn't help out more. If he was here she would be able to get some help and she wouldn't have hurt her wrist as well.

Kari was just about to give up and go look for some help when the Gods deiced to bless her with someone walking by. Someone that she knew and somewhat trusted too, which was even better then just some random stranger. Lifting her hand that didn't hurt up into the air, Kari waved and tried to get his attention. "Dómi!" she says loudly as she keeps waving. She hates to even be doing this, asking him for help. However she also knew there was no chance she was going to get this horse out of the mud by herself. What she hated even more was that she was also covered in mud and this was all going to be awkward and maybe even slightly embarrassing. If he did help her she would have to give him something, or make him something as a thank you later as well. "I am sorry, but I need help please!" she calls to him next before looking toward to horse who was still jerking around. Kari hoped the poor thing didn't break anything with how much it was moving around like that. That would just make matters worse for it.
