Sofie had gotten up very early today to work on one of her many pranks she had planed. Today she needed to be up before everyone if she was going to be able to pull it off. Sithric, the other shipbuilder had been working on a boat for so long, and she had come up with he perfect idea.An idea that if she did it to Freyja her sister would kill her, but she was pretty sure Sithric would only get mad. Well at least she hoped her would only get mad and not kill her, but she was sure she was going to find out just how he was going to reach when he saw what she did. She was going to prank him by painting a tiny little flowers all over both sides of it. Making it super pretty and girly. She had been saving some of her money to the side and bought all kinds of fruit to make colors to do it with. So far she had finished one side, and was now woking on the other. Sofie's hand was getting so tired and sore but it was all going to be worth it when he came down to keep working on the ship. The best part is that when it got wet most of it was going to wash off, but Sithric wasn't going to know that right away. He was going to think what she had done was there forever. However Sofie wasn't that cruel.

She had just finished her handy work as more and more people started to come onto the docks. Some were giving her weird looks, others were laughing as they walked by and saw what it is she had done. It made her smile ever more at her prank hearing the other people around her reactions. She was glad her sister wasn't down here yet, or Freyja would be yelling at her and making her wash it off before he ever got to see it. Her hands were hurting so much too, that she was going to have to skip her training. But every inch of the ship had all kinds of different flowers in as many color's as she could get to work all over it. So the pain was defiantly worth it."I can't wait to see his face" she hears form somewhere behind her and she turns and says "I know" back to them. Just as she was getting ready to turn back around to look at her work more she sees him.Sithric Leifsson, coming her way. She didn't have any time to hide away from him now. So she took a deep breath and crossed her arms over her chest. Smiling at him as he got close."Good morning Sithric" she told him as he stopped in front of his boat. "Do you like it, I made it pretty for you!" she said with a smile as she watched him looking it over.

A clever head no longer plots.
Sithric was in bed, normally he was up with the break of dawn but today he slept in. he had quite a rough night before, mainly because he wasn’t feeling very well. The only reason why he would ever stay longer in bed was to get the illness out of his body before it got worse. Covered under the skin of a bear he had killed a while ago the man was still sleeping very deep, his dream took him on one of the raids, brought him back to the battles he had fought in different countries. It was because of a loud bang, near his cabin probably from the blacksmith who lived across his house, that Sithric opened his eyes. Briefly he rubbed his eyes while he sat up straight, still under the warm skin. It took him a few seconds to really wake up, but eventually he got out of bed and put on some clothes. Today was just another day, the man really had nothing planned except for working on his boat in the docks and grab a few ales tonight. The deadline for him to finish the boat was coming closer, and he didn’t want to disappoint Halfdan. Mainly because he would probably distrust him even more then he already did.

With his axe on his back the man was walking in the direction of the docks, most of the people said hi to him while he was passing them but others just chuckled when he walked by. Something that he found quite odd, it never happened to him before so it was strange. It annoyed him a bit, just because he wanted to know the reason why. Trying to think of things that he could’ve possibly done wrong for the people to act this way he walked further on. The moment his boots hit the wood he saw her. Young Sofie Stafnsdóttir with a very pleased look on her face. Nothing good ever came from that girl if she was acting like this. Sithric raised his eye brow, he didn’t even seem to notice his boat for a seconds. It was in the moment that he looked up that everything fell in to place. His mouth fell open for a moment. This couldn’t be happening, how dare she? His whole ship was covered in flowers, seemed like they were painted on it. ‘You better clean it up, and fast. Or you will suffer the consequences.’ His voice was filled with anger, eventho he wasn’t shouting. The urge to slap the girl was great, off course he would never to that. But this matter needed to be solved immediately. ‘Halfdan is gonna kill me if I present this boat to him and you right after I assume.’
thank you Sarah!

Sofie watched him as he looked around the boat. She could see the anger growing in his eyes as she look in her handy work, it made her let out a few laughs here and there. She had spend hours on this, and so far it seemed to be all worth it as she could see he was very unhappy. Of course he had know idea that everything would wash right off with water or when it rained. His face clearly showed that he thought it was there forever when he turned around and looked at her. ‘You better clean it up, and fast. Or you will suffer the consequences.’ He said, and she could hear the angry in his voice, and see it in his eyes. Okay so he was a little more mad then she thought he was going to be that was for sure. However she wanted to yell right at him too. How dare he talk to her like that. Joke or not. He looked like he could hit her, and Sofie was tempted to tell him to try. "What you don't like it?" she said to him instead. Not making a move from the spot she was standing on. "I worked on it so long and hard for you Sithric. I thought you would be so happy. I wanted to make it pretty, like me" she said next before bitting her lip and giving a little pout.

She then shook her head at him."I'm not going to wash off all my hard work!" she said as she crossed her arms. ‘Halfdan is gonna kill me if I present this boat to him and you right after I assume.’ Sithric said next and that however got her to change her mind a bit."Oh don't get your pants in a twist. It will all wash right off in the water or after a good rain." she said as she uncrossed her arms and waked over to the boat. Reaching down she grabbed a little water and rubbed it on one of the many flowers. It came right off without any problem."So no one is going to die." she said with a roll of her eyes at him. Did he really think she was going to ruin a boat for real? She wasn't stupid, she had just wanted to get a good laugh out of it all. She had gotten some laughs but not enough to justify all the work she spent on the thing."So get some water on it, and it will all go away!" she told him before laughing again.

A clever head no longer plots.
The fact that the girl was laughing from the moment he set foot on the wooden floor boards from the dock made him even more angry. This was the first boat in a line of boats coming up for the earl, if he would see this. Well, he could kiss his work goodbye. Smart move of Sofie as her mother would get more work if he was out of the picture, eventho he knew that it didn’t was for that reason that she did this. No, Sofie was infamous around the village for the stupid stuff she pulled all the time. It was normal for him to be angry about this, who wouldn’t be? Maybe he was a little over exaggerating but still he wasn’t on the brink of bashing her head in, so that was a good thing. Sithric raised an eyebrow when she started talking and scoffed almost immediately as a reaction to her words. Not liking it was the understatement of the century. He hated it, and wanted it off right now! But he wasn’t the one who would do it, oh no that completely fell in to her lap. ‘You will be lucky if I don’t tell your mother about this.’ Not that he would have too, no world travelled fast around here so she would probably knew it already. ‘A boat doesn’t need to be pretty, it needs to be strong, strong like you are. Just without the flowers.’ A smile broke through on his face, in a way it was funny yes. But he still was pretty upset about the whole thing.

‘Oh yes you will!’ He fired back. There was no way in hell he was going to clean it up, she did it so she deserved the honors to wash it off again too. Apparently the girl looked like she could think about the aftermath of this. Sithric could have known it was washable paint, but in the moment his mind took him to different places. When Sofie splashed a little water on the boat it almost immediately came off, luckily for the both of them. ‘Jokes over now.’ He straightened his back and looked right in her eyes. ‘Either you are going to wash it all off, or I will throw you in the water. And don’t think I don’t mean what I say Sofie. I’m dead serious.’ For a second he narrowed his eyes, waiting for her reaction. The fact that he would throw her in the water if she didn’t start doing it wasn’t a lie, but if she started with cleaning it up off course he would help nonetheless.

thank you Sarah!

Sofie rolls her eyes at him when she hears him say ‘You will be lucky if I don’t tell your mother about this.’ he said to her and she huffed out at him. Like her mother didn't know what she did everyday, and like telling her really was going to do anything at all to Sofie. A boat doesn’t need to be pretty, it needs to be strong, strong like you are. Just without the flowers.’ He says to her next and Sofie smiles at him. He thought she was strong, that was a nice compliment. She watched as he smiled, but could tell he was still mad at her for doing this to him in the first place."Tell my mother, I don't care. She knows I play pranks." she says to him first. "And I am beautiful and strong, maybe I want to ride in a boat that is like that too. Because you did build it strong, I can tell." she says too him next. It was true, he did make very good boats, almost as good the ones her sister made, almost being the key words. Freyja is always going to be better in her eyes.

When Sofie told him she wasn't going to wash off her hard work he said ‘Oh yes you will!’ to her and she rolled her eyes at him."Are you going to make me do it then? I would like to see you try."Sofie told him with an air of sass to her. She was going to help him clean it off, but she didn't want to do it all. She was already tired as it was. ‘Jokes over now.’ he told her next after she showed him it all could be washed off with a little bit of water. That he got all worked up for nothing at all and he was being so silly. ‘Either you are going to wash it all off, or I will throw you in the water. And don’t think I don’t mean what I say Sofie. I’m dead serious.’ he tells her next and now she really doesn't want to help him. "Well I don't know how to swim, so if you want to kill me over this I guess you really are mad." she says crossing her arms over her chest. "I'll help you clean it off, but I'm not doing it alone." she says next with a now raised eyebrow.
