vrienden samen [Sassa]

Sassa had decided to sleep in this morning, after everything that had happened over the last few days. She knew her body needed the time to just relax and recoup. There still so many things Sassa needed to do, like talk to Arngeir more one on one. She also needed to try and fix the mess that was her friendship with Bjorn, but the crazy man had left. He had left on a boat with some women, and that alone confused her greatly. If he had been so upset that Thora had kissed his brother,So upset that she herself had rejected him, then why would he run off to another women, and then leave the village with said women! There were many things she still didn't understand about men, and that was something she didn't understand. All Sassa knew was that the moment he came back, if he came back, she was going to try to fix their friendship. Because it was eating her up that her ignorance had cost her a good person. She still viewed him as a good person even though she now feared him.

Sassa had just finished getting dressed for the day when she heard “Sassa!” being shouted from the front of her hut. Hvitserk, she would no his voice anywhere, and of course he came right into her home. She had given him and Ubbe permission to do so a few years ago, they had known each other long enough that she trusted them more than enough not to try something. The two of them hadn't come on to her yet, she didn't think it was going to happen anytime soon. Smiling she quickly finished what she was doing and started to head into her kitchen area. “Are you home?” she heard him yell once more. Rounding the corner she sat him siting a her table and laughed. "Yes I am home" she said smiling at him before heading over to the stove and putting some food into it to heat put for the two of them. Grabbing some bread she ripped some up and put it onto a plate for him before walking over and putting it down in front of him. Getting down on his level for a moment to give him a hug before standing right back up. " I have missed you, I'm glad you have come!" she said with a small smile to him before turning around and grabbing some meed and pouring then both a glass.

From their years of friendship she knew that dear Hvitserk was always hungry, and that he was more comfortable with food around. Handing him the meed, she walked back over to the stove and turned the quick stew she threw together around."I'm sure you heard of all of the drama that happened then?" she asked as she turned back and looked at him. A sad look taking over her face as she bit her lip and willed herself not to get upset about it already. It was just hard because she felt very safe, and at easy with both the boy in front of her and his bother Ubbe. She really was glad he had come and to her house. That way the two of them could talk just them, and not have others interrupt them. Sassa hoped Arngeir wouldn't get upset that here she was alone with a boy again, but that he knew that Hvitserk was different. Well Sassa had thought that Bjorn was different too. So who knows. " I wish that things wouldn't have happened the way they did, and will tell you anything you want to know." she said next. Turning back to the food she checked if it was warm enough, and once it was she made a bowl for him and placed it in front of him before sitting down at the table as well.

Sassa Smiled at her friend as he said “Thank you,” for the mead she had given him. She was glad he was here, she really was. And this little hug, even though it was a half hug, made her feel a little bit better already.He was a good friend and Sassa was glad to have him care about her enough to come here like he had. For she knew that was the real reason he had come all the way over to her house today. “What happened, is my biggest question. Do I need to punch someone for you? Because I will. Bjorn and Ubbe included.”Hvitserk said to her next and she smiled and let our at laugh that he said he would beat both of his older brother for her. It was silly, but it was sweet too. She was also glad that she had decided to make him food, because it was going to take a long time for her to explain everything out to him. “You know, people were explaining it but to be honest, I was a little drunk and they were explaining it poorly, and I figured it’d be best to just come and ask you.” Hvitserk said next and she just nodded her head at him. That sounded about right for Hvitserk and his brothers. Men aren't always good with their words. So the thought that his brothers hadn't told him everything wasn't far fetched."That sounds about right for your brothers, and yourself." she said with a small laugh. “And, you know, make sure you’re okay. Obviously.” Hvitserk made sure to add at the end.

Sassa smiled at him and as she sat at the table after giving him his food. “Mmmm, thanks,” he said after it was placed in front of him followed by “You didn’t have to,” he said last. "I know, but I wanted to do so. This is a long story you are in for." she said before taking a drink from her cup. "So I guess it all started at the Feast, Bjorn,Thora, and Ubbe had been drinking. There had been some conversations, I'm not sure of all the details, but Bjron saw Ubbe and Throa kissing and got very angry." she said before taking a deep breath and going on some more. "I guess Bjorn raised his axe at Ubbe, but Thora got him to give it to her. They talked and they both left.." Sassa told him before biting her lip. "I found Bjorn alone and drunk the other day, he looked very upset so I decided to try and help him. But you know me..I'm an idiot when it comes to some things with men..So I guess I somehow led him on. With the things I said to him. He had pulled me onto his lap, and thats when I should have realized he was misunderstanding..." she said pausing as she ran a hand over her face and let out a huff."But in my mind I have sat on your lap or Ubbe's lap in the past, so I tired to pay it no mind. I was there to help him feel better..." Sassa said as she moved her hands from her face and looked at him.

"And then...then he kissed me and I froze. I didn't know what to do at first, but then I pushed him away..I told him it was a misunderstanding..I told him that I am taken..I have a man..and I'll get back to that later I know..." she said before standing back up and starting to walk around. "He got so mad  Hvitserk, Bjorn threw a shipping box and told me to get out of his face pretty much. I had been so scared." she said still pacing around the room. Sassa was hoping he was taking this all in okay, and that she wasn't talking to fast. This was a long story and had a lot of branches in different directions."So I went to Thora, we spoke and she told me about the fight and a few other personal things. She helped me go to Arngeir to talk to him and explain everything." she said to him before crossing her arms over her chest and huffing. "Arngeir Mordsson, is my man. We plan to go public soon..I just haven't told my mother yet...I might even move in with him soon. I don't know, he and I have to talk still. There are going to be rules so I never have this kind of situation happen to me again..we just got together after the feast too..so thats why you didn't know yet.." she said looking at him. " I know that was a lot to listen to and take in...Feel free to ask anything or make me repeat.." Sassa ended and she bit her lip and looked at her friend.

Sassa noted that Hvitserk kept quite throughout most of her tale until she spoke about what Bjorn had done when he had been angry “Björn did what?” he had said, and Sassa could tell that he was upset by the news. That his older bother had reacted in such a way to her. Sassa was still upset about it herself, but for slightly different reasons. She felt horrible that she had made him that upset that he would have thrown anything in the first place. She never wanted to hurt her friend or confuse him the way she had done. She had been trying to help him not hurt. Sassa wasn't one for hurting people in the first place, not if there were ways around it. Obviously that didn't count fight in a war or raid. Those were different than hurting a friends or persons feelings. "He threw as shipping box, he was angry..and hurt...and drunk...I hadn't meant to hurt him..he just really misunderstood, and wouldn't let me stay to explain that.." she said to him. She knew he wasn't really asking, but she didn't want him very upset with his brother. For even though she was now scared of Bjorn, she didn't want him to have family problems when he came back home from where ever it was that he had gone.

When Hvitserk spoke again Sassa wasn't sure what to say. “You don’t need rules, it wasn’t your fault. Björn was a drunken ass and mistook friendly concern for… whatever he thought it was. You didn’t do anything wrong.” he said to her, thats what Thora had said too. That she hadn't done anything wrong, and that it was Bjorn. She didn't think that was completely true. If she hadn't been so ignorant then she wouldn't have done things that had been wrong in the first place. She wouldn't have accidentally lead Bjorn on and make him think things were happening that were. Or had he really been that drunk? Maybe that was it all along, but she wouldn't be too sure until she got to talk to him. If she ever got to talk to him anyways. Sassa hoped so, hoped that he would let her talk to him when he came back. That she would be able to fix their friendship someday.[“Björn’s an ass,” he had said next. Sassa chose not to comment on it, and he spoke again anyways. “So, you’re okay now? And everything with Arngeir went okay?” he said last.

Sassa knew she needed to answer some things and started with the rules. "The rules I guess are to help me not get into that type of situation again...I don't think they would be to control me if that is what you are worried about." she said first before looking away for a moment. She knew  Arngeir would never try to control her and she might have even suggested the whole rules thing in the first place. For she knows far to little, and needs some help in the area of men. She also planed to have Arngeir  explain some things to her later, questions she had. So the rules wouldn't be like real rules. Something to just help her not make similar mistakes.

"I still feel badly it happened. That he is mad at me...do you really think it was because he was drunk?" she said turning back to him biting her lip with watery eyes. "That he was drunk, and when he comes back he won't hate me?" she said next."I don't want this stupid situation to be why I lose his friendship, is that stupid?" she asked him before answering his last question. "I'm confused, but okay. Arngeir and I mostly worked things out, we still need to talk alone. Thora had been with me when I told him everything. He's mad, which is understandable." she said with a shrug. She was also tired, and drained, but she didn't say that. It wasn't that important. "But how are you? I haven't gotten to talk to you in some time, and now that I am, its all about drama. Ive missed you." she asked as she tried to turn things to him and off of her.

Sassa frowned when Hvitserk said . “No, I don’t imagine he’d want to hear anything you had to say after that. Because he made the mistake, Sassa, not you.” She as glad he was another person who thought it was Bjorn who made the mistake, but she just felt so bad about the whole thing anyways. She had been trying to be a good friend with him and then he got mad and yelled at her. She was sure if she had done things a little differently he wouldn't have gotten the wrong idea like he had clearly done with her. She still really wanted to go hut him down and try to talk to him about it all. However she would not, she would give him time and see when he came back if he would ever find a way to forgive and forget that this all had happened.

After she tired to explain what she had meant by rules he had said “That is what I’m worried about,” to her. So maybe rules were weird then, she hadn't meant them in a weird way per say. She had just meant because she knew nothing about all this stuff. She had never dated anyone before, or really expressed interest in a man. She hadn't know that the things she had been doing with Bjorn was giving him the wrong idea, and with a view rules or maybe guidelines, she would have not been in that situation to start with if she was honest. She would need to talk to her man about all this,and see what he thought and wanted. If he wanted to go with rules she would be okay with it for a while. then once she had a better understanding she would have him lose the rules all together. Sassa just really didn't want to do something to make him leave her, for she was sure she was in love with him. Or at least very close to being in love with him."I'll figure it out, don't worry about it." she said finally.  

“It was definitely because he was drunk,” Hvitserk said next to her in regards to Bjorn.and I don’t think he’ll hate you.” he said next and she hoped he was right. She would hate herself if he ended up hating her. She liked their friendship and had looked forward to getting closer to him. However she was pretty sure that would never happen. Even if he didn't hate her, Arngeir would never want her to be around him. Because he had said he wanted to smash Bjorn's face in. She hoped he stopped wanting to do that after Throa explained things more, but Sassa wasn't sure if it had. Arngeir had been so very mad at Bjorn, and she understood why."I hope you are right, and that he doesn't hate me. I would be so sad if he did." she said to him before letting out a small huff. Thinking about all this just made her sad again.

Hvitserk spoke again “I guess that’s understandable,” he said and she just smiled and nodded at him.“Who, me?” he then said, followed by. “I haven’t been up to very much, honestly. Training, eating, I went hunting with Ubbe,” that made her laugh just a bit. When wasn't he eating. “My life isn’t exciting right now. Not like yours,” he said last and that made Sassa giggle more then before."Thats good to hear! However I wouldn't say exciting is the right word. More like stressful." she said letting out another giggle. "But I have missed you. We need to spend more time together again. You and me, maybe even Ubbe should go hunting or something. I miss my best friends. He knows we are close, he shouldn't mind. If he does maybe he can come! You could get to know him!" she said next. Some what rambling on.

Sassa looked at him for a long moment after he said “Okay, I won’t worry. And then you need to stop worrying about Björn, alright? Deal?” to her. It was only fair that she agreed. Besides worrying about it wasn't going to fix the situation anytime soon. She would have to wait until he came home no matter what. So taking a deep breath Sassa shook her head yes at him before saying."Fine, deal." to him. She would try her best to let things go for now. So she could focus on her friends and her man. She knew however that she needed to spend more time with her friends at the moment. She had ignored them a little to much and that was how a lot of this whole stressful situation had happened. If she had been around then she would have known about their fight,and what it had been about. Then she would've known what had been bugging Bjorn in the first place, and handled the situation a lot differently. Well maybe she would have,Sassa wasn't really sure about it anymore. “It does sound like it’s been pretty stressful,” Hvitserk said next and Sassa just nodded her head at him and let out a huff.

When Hvitserk spoke again, agreeing with her she smiled again. “I’d like that. We should do something fun. Mess with Ubbe a bit, maybe?” he said and she laughed. Messing with Ubbe was always fun. The two of them had played jokes on him once or twice as children. It would be more fun now she was sure. “Oh, your idea is much nicer,” he said next after she said they could go hunting. “That’s fine with me,” he said next in regards to maybe Arngier coming along with him. She was happy he was okay with it. She wanted her best friends to like her Arngier. If they didn't like hm, it would make things mighty awkward for all of them, Sassa most of all.“I still think we should mess with Ubbe a bit. Or maybe Sigurd, if you want to let Ubbe in on it.” Hvitserk said last. Laughing some more "Yes lets do it!" she said first. "Do you have anything in mind! I think if we really plan it out we could get him good." she said next with a little giggle. It was nice to be with her friend again."I know who he likes, but she is my friend. So we can't mess with her, but we could pick on him about it too." she said last as she got a little excited and waited to see what he said back."Oh and we should mess with Ivar too. I need to get back at him for being a little shit at the Feast." she said out of no where."I have known him for years and he is still so rude to me. I wish I knew what I had done to make him hate me!" she said before rolling her eyes.

Sassa smiled at him when he started to get into planing mode “Picking on him is always fun, but he’d probably just laugh it off. We could hide some fish in his bed?” Hvitserk said first and she let out a little giggle at his words.“Nevermind, it would stink up the whole place.” he added shortly after, making her giggle once more.It was true, it would make the house out stink, and Ubbe wouldn't be the only one to suffer. If they were going to do something it needed to be well thought out. They were not little kids anymore, and if Ubbe found out it was them she was sure what he would do would be far different from what he had done when they were small kids. Besides Sassa knew he could beat her now, and she didn't want to be given a lesson just after becoming a thegn. She needed people to think she was old enough and strong enough to keep this position that she had gotten.

When Sassa brought Ivar up and what his deal was she noticed Hvitserk brush it off by saying “You probably didn’t do anything to him, that’s just… how he is?” to her first. It shouldn't just be how he is. Sassa understood things must be hard for him, but he had no reason to be so rude and nasty to her when she had been nothing but kind to him from the small age of children. She was one of the few kids that would still play with him after he killed the boy. So why had he always been so cruel to her? Sassa guessed she was just never going on find out, not unless she just asked him to his face. He was far to unstable for that however. “I wouldn’t take it personally, Sassa. He’s rude to everyone. But maybe we don’t deal with Ivar right now?” Hvitserk said next and Sassa just nodded her head at him."Fine, we won't prank him, even if he has it coming.." she said to him next with a roll of her eyes.

Then Hvitserk spoke once more “Do you have any better ideas?” he asked her and she smiled. "We could hide all his weapons, or we could die all his white colors a girly color?she says first with another giggle."Or we could put dung in his shoes, but I think thats a little far?" she says next before bitting her lip and laughing once more. "I had missed you my friend, lets not stay apart that long again.You always know how to make me laugh and forget the bad!" Sassa tells him next, smiling at him brightly.

Sassa nodded her head when she heard Hvitserk say “He does have it coming,” first before adding “But yeah, let’s focus on Ubbe or Sigurd for right now.”to her next. That was fair, we could focus on his other brothers. Ivar would most likely try to hunt them down and kill them anyways. He was rather crazy in that regard. She was still young, and wanted children, she wanted to get married, most of all she wanted to at least lay with a man once before being killed. So Ivar for now would be off limits. If it was in the gods will, the angry will boy would get what was coming to him someday for being so mean and rude to the people who had been nothing but kind to him in return. “We should definitely hide all his weapons. But no, let’s just hide all his clothes, instead of dyeing them colors.”Hvitserk said next to her. A big smile graced her face at his words. This was all going to be so very fun. “But how funny would it be if he wakes up and all his clothes and weapons are just gone?” He adds and Sassa lets a big laugh out at him. "He would get so mad, and most! It would be such a funny sight to see! Lets do both, hides his clothes and his weapons and then wait to see his reaction!" she said to him in return.

Then they talk about other possible prank. “Dung in his shoes might be a little far. But what about, if we put some in his saddle bags or something?” Hvitserk says to her next. That was an idea for sure. She liked it. Ubbe wouldn't find the dung in his bag right away, and then he would have no idea that it was them. It would take to long him to figure out it was there. Sassa laughed and smiled again. "Yes, lets do that one too. He would never know it was us for sure!" she was smiling a lot more then she had before all the damn drama had happened to her. She had been so stressed and upset by it all, and now she felt very relaxed. “Agreed.” he told her after she told him not to stay away so long again. That they needed to see each other more. “Will you still have time for poor old Hvitserk? Now that you’ve got a new man?” Hvitserk said next and she rolled her eyes at him. "I will always have time for you, and for Ubbe too. I've known you my whole life. I've only known him a few weeks!" she told him with a smile and touched his arm. "Now when do you want to do these pranks?" Sassa asked last.
