• History: Garth had been born to a village women that had been known for sleeping around. His mother had been a beautiful women who hadn't wanted to get married to someone she didn't love. However her refusal to get married ended up biting her in the end when she got pregnant with her son. Having no idea which of the men she slept with was her child's father, she didn't bother reaching out to see if anyone would want to claim him when he was born. Things had been hard for his mother until she met Tyr Svensson. Who she fell in love with when Garth was two years old.They were married and Garth was given a sister shortly after. Garth grew up knowing that his mothers husband was not happy with his existence, but he had made sure to give Garth a good life. His mother's husband had been a Viking that had been very successful in his travels. So him and his sister Yrsa had grown up a comfortable life. One in which they didn't have to want for many things. Garth was always very protective of Yrsa growing up. Making sure that no one ever messed with her, and that she always was safe. If any other the other village kids were mean to her, he would fight them to make sure that it never happened again. As they got older, he became more and more protective, until he was sure she could protect herself.

As Garth got older he began to like to watch the local smith do his work. Very interested in how everything worked, and wanting to try for himself. Garth had finally gotten the courage to ask the Smith to show him a few things. From that moment on he started to help in the smith. Starting with small projects until he was good enough to do big projects on his own. Garth made sure to spend every free moment he had at the smith learning everything he could until he was good enough to became a real black smith on his own at the age of twenty. He however kept woking under the current smith until he decided to move onto a new village at the age of twenty-four.

Garth wanted to move somewhere where people knew nothing about him. A place where they wouldn't know he was the unwanted son of another man raised by a viking who loved his wayward mother. So he packed up everything he could and told his family goodbye. Taking all the gold he had earned, plus a little that Tyr had given him as well, and he moved to Kattegat. Once he got there he made sure to buy himself a hut, and started to build his smith up from the ground. It took a few years for the people of Kattegat to trust him and start buying his work, but they soon saw that he made good weapons, and his work picked up. When he isn't as busy Garth makes sure to go home to visit his mother and sister. Wanting to make sure he stays close with Yrsa as they get older. Still very protective, even though he knows she is more than capable of taking care of herself as a shield maiden. Now at the age of twenty nine Garth is starting to think its time to settle down. Maybe start his own family and have some children of his own.
